These low carb tortilla chips pack plenty of crunch and flavour. Baked with lupin flour they made a great keto chip that is vegan and gluten free and only 1g net carb a serving.

Made with just 2 ingredients (not including water) this may be the best lupin flour recipe you make! The taste and thickness of these keto chips is very similar to corn tortilla chips too. Using store bought tortillas and baking them does not have the crunch that these keto chips deliver. Not even close.

Lupin flour is low in carbs and high in protein making this a great low carb chip without using Fathead dough too! The whole batch is just 4g net carbs!

1g net carb a serving

Claiming these low carb tortilla chips as the best may be a bold claim but in my kitchen, these are currently the best I have ever baked. When I made the first batch, I immediately baked another just to check it was not a one off low carb baking stroke of luck. After my 2nd successful batch, I checked the pantry and ordered more lupin flour!

What is lupin flour?

Lupin flour is made from lupin beans, which is a legume. It's ideal for the keto vegetarian and vegan as the flour is low in carbs, high in fiber and high in protein. Only1g net carbsand and 11g protein per ¼ cup (30g) serving.

For those with peanut allergies, lupin flour should be treated with caution as it is a legume.

How to make keto chips with lupin flour

If you don't include water as an ingredient, this recipe has just 2 ingredients. Lupin flour and avocado oil. That's it. Simple and easy! Use your own spices to your own taste. I've tried chilli and lime, cumin and garlic powder so far.

When mixing the tortilla dough it looks like thick toffee but that might just be me seeing what I want to see! If it's too sticky, let it sit for a few minutes to firm up.

How to store lupin flour chips

As these do not have any egg or dairy in them they do not need to be stored in the fridge. Keep them in an airtight container and they will remain crunch for 5 days. Maybe a week but mine have not yet lasted that long!

What to serve with low carb tortilla chips

These homemade tortilla chips can take a dip. They can take a double dip, then another! Try them with our chipotle salsa for a great flavor combination. As sturdy as a corn nacho chip you can enjoy them with a cottage cheese pizza bowl or use them for a loaded nacho dish. A few low carb dips to try with these are:

Keto Salsa

Sun Dried Tomato Dip

Dairy Free Artichoke Dip

Roasted Red Pepper Dip
