Came across this place in google maps and decided to give it a try. It was super cute! The food was tasty, and the portions were generous with reasonable prices!Very colorful, fun decor, and enough people inside eating at all times.Highly recommend!

Incredible, one of the best mexican restaurants I've been to. You cannot go wrong with the food here. I just wish they served beer and mixed drinks, that will make for a complete experience.

After reading the great reviews and getting recommendations by local friends we came in with really high expectations. The service was very good so was the fresh juice but the food was disappointing. The tacos were just not tasty at all. The meat was dry, the taco was soft. The portions are huge, so better to share. All in all didnt understand what the fuss was about. Maybe we ordered wrong but we thought tacos are the best choice in a place called Tacopedia...

Great tasting food. The tacos are the best, portions are big compare to any other restaurant. So far I have tried the birria, pastor and cochinita pibil, great flavor, like being in Mexico. No beer or coffee are served here unfortunately but the fruit juices are great. This is a most of you like Mexican food. By the way the Chile sauced are very spicy, if you need to kick your endorphins out, this is the best way!

As an American from California I’m not going to lie, I was skeptical at this place being “good” Mexican food. I was prepared for it to be a let down as I was raised on good Mexican food. Well, as I’m being honest, this place was AWESOME. The prices were good. I left STUFFED. The torta was phenomenal. The tamarind drink was amazing. Have I used enough hype words. If you’re not in the area, come eat here. If you live in the area, I’m sorry, you’ll start eating here often. Oh yea, and lastly, the staff were awesome. Totally recommend.

The service was SUPER slow, but the food was surprisingly good in my opinion, although i did feel bad when we left because i didnt eat 2 tacos so i guess they might have thought that i didnt like them but i did, its just that they were HUGE & full! I couldve taken them but i was flying out the next morning & know wasnt going to eat them anymore. It does take a long time to pay as well. Also, they should play real Mexican music, not like a remix of Mexican music playing in salsa or any other rhythm, just real Mexican music. Thankssssssssss. Oh also, the tostadas were very stale

The soup was very good. I loved the guacamole 🥑 it was fresh with the salsa picante. As for the tacos 🌮 I would recommend the beef, we did 16 tacos fr 4, it was too much and had left overs. We took the deal including salsa and Chips, soup,16 tacos 🌮 and 4 drinks

A disappointing experience. It's amazing how such a great feeling restaurant can have such underwhelming food.Everything was great except for the tacos, which were a massive letdown. Both the pastor and cochinita pibil were incredibly dry. It seemed that no amount of salsa and limes could help. The pastor had good color but no flavor. It reminded me of the pastor from El Fogoncito in the Mall Multiplaza del Este. At least there you can put enough salsa on it to make it not so dry. The cochinita pibil had good flavor. The sopa azteca was excellent, the cazuela de chorizo had deep subtle flavors, the service was good (at least for the first 30min).The restaurant is understaffed as they had a full house and a line outside. The waitstaff was working hard but it took a long time to get our check and finally leave. On a positive note, the ambiance was excellent -- one of the best restaurant environments we've been to in San Jose. It's just a shame we most likely won't be back.

Mexico should be proud of its gastronomy, and this place is an amazing representation of it. Although we arrived late, they received us cordially. Amazing food. Sopa Azteca was super delicious. A most try for everyone!

It was really good Mexican style food. What I find interesting is that it tastes completely different from Mexican food in the United States. I need to go to México City and taste the cuisine to make a fair comparison.Anyway, atmosphere was good, service was good, and so was the food. The only thing I would suggest is beware of the parking mafia outside the restaurant. As with a lot of places in Costa Rica, there are people directing you to park when you don’t really need their assistance, but they expect a small tip as you depart. It’s a gig economy
